Cari Davine

Cari Davine specializes in the television, film and new media industries, representing a broad range of clients including studios, production houses, financiers, and on and off screen talent and influencers of all levels in all their entertainment business and legal matters.  Cari began her legal career as a corporate/commercial litigator in Montreal, Canada. Upon deciding to transition out of litigation, she pursued her Masters of Law and a business degree at NYU. She has worked in senior positions in-house at several prominent entertainment companies and studios in Canada and the United States, where she oversaw all business and legal affairs matters in connection with the development, financing, production and exploitation of scripted and unscripted television, documentary and narrative motion pictures, brand partnerships and ancillary products as well as advised on transactions, contracts and strategies. Cari has been a speaker on all matters related to media and entertainment and acted as a lecturer for the Entertainment Law course at the Faculty of Law at McGill University for multiple semesters. Fluent in English and French, she continues to represent clients from around the world. Cari holds degrees from McGill University (B.A. Humanistic Studies), Université de Montréal (LL.B. Civil Law), Osgoode Hall Law School at York University (LL.B. Common Law), Stern Business School at New York University (A.P.C.L.B.) and New York University School of Law (LL.M.).
