Ed Buggé represents leading companies, investors and entrepreneurs in the media, entertainment and sports industries. He has advised on the establishment, international expansion and exit strategies of disruptive businesses shaping today’s entertainment landscape and counsels some of the most prominent media, entertainment, sports and technology companies in Europe and the United States.
Experience includes advising Apple, Ministry of Sound Recordings (acquired by Sony Music Entertainment), Boiler Room (acquired by DICE), Round Hill Music Royalty Fund, Spotify, AI startup R.E Labs (acquired by Sony Music Entertainment), Platoon (acquired by Apple), House Productions, a transatlantic talent management business (acquired by Firebird Music), Fremantle Media, the Virgin Group, All3Media and metaverse technology company Improbable as well as talent and celebrity entrepreneurs on complex media rights and corporate transactions.
Ed graduated from Durham University (2009), the University of Law London (2011) and trained at Allen & Overy LLP in London and Paris. He joined Hertz Lichtenstein Young & Polk LLP in Los Angeles in 2018 and became a partner at the firm in 2020.
Ed is admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales and is a registered Foreign Legal Consultant in California. He was named one of Billboard’s Top Lawyers consecutively from 2021 – 2024.
